Special Session Proposal for ICPEPE 2010
International Conference on Power Electronics and Power Engineering

Title:
Optimization methods: algorithms and applications on power electronics.

Description:
This special session invites papers discussing recent advances in the development and application of optimization algorithms, particularly stochastic optimization algorithms, to the field of power electronics and power engineering. The emphasis is on developing techniques and procedures based on optimization that supports the design, control or simulation of power electronic systems. Some algorithm examples are: Simulated Annealing (SA), Tabu Search (TS), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), etc.

Submission:
Papers for this special session must be emailed to rmc@isep.ipp.pt by October 31, 2009. Paper submissions should be full papers of about eight pages. Please consult the conference website for formatting instructions. All papers submitted to this special session will be double-blind peer reviewed. The special session organizer makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the paper.

Organizer:
