    How you get here

To come to Porto the best way is by air.

Notice that, when looking for a flight in an airline site or in the airport monitors you may find the name 'Oporto' instead of 'Porto'! Don't worry, it is the same place but written in English. The Airport Code is indeed OPO.

The Francisco Sá Carneiro International Airport is located about 11 km north of the city centre.
A list of destinations and airline companies flying to Porto may be obtained from the site of the Francisco Sá Carneiro International Airport.
In the same site you may find a lot of useful information about the services available at the airport.

From there you can take the Violet(E) Line of the subway, or Metro, as we call it here. The Metro network serves the airport each 30 minutes between 06h00 and 01h00. It will take you about 28 minutes to reach the city centre (Trindade metro station) where you must change to Yellow (D) Line, direction Hospital São João, to reach ISEP. In 6 minutes you will reach IPO metro station, where you should leave. Metro sign

Just recharge it in the same automatic machines where you retrieved it and that are available in all stations. With 'Andante' you may also take a bus or even a suburban train.
All the information you need to know about the Metro is available at Metro do Porto.

If you are unable to find a direct flight to Porto, you may also fly to Lisbon and then take an internal flight or the train to Porto.
Direct trains to Porto leave from Lisboa - Oriente almost every hour between 6h00 and 21h00. The timetable is available at the site of CP, the Portuguese Railway Company. Unfortunately, the Lisboa subway system does not goes to the airport and therefore the best way to reach Lisboa - Oriente railway station is by taxi. It will take you between two and a half and three hours, depending on the train, to reach Campanhã, Porto main railway station. In the meanwhile, enjoy the landscape!
From Campanhã you can take the Metro and in less than 6 minutes you will reach Trindade metro station where you must change to the Yellow (D) Line, direction Hospital São João, to reach ISEP.
