What we offer

Programmes available

  • At the Electrical Engineering Department of ISEP we offer:

    • Two Bachelor's Degree programmes taught solely in Portuguese + the EPS@ISEP programme, a programme aimed exclusively to foreign Bachelor's Degree students offered solely in English
    • Two Master's Degree programmes taught in English.

Academic year

    The academic year at ISEP runs from September 1 until July 31: the autumn term lasting from the middle of September till the end of February and the spring term from the beginning of March till the end of July. These are the official dates; the real teaching periods are explained below.

  • Teaching periods

    • The academic year is divided into two semesters. Examinations are run at the end of each semester.
    The calendar for the academic year 2011-2012 is as follows:

    • Autumn semester: September 19 to February 18
      • Teaching period: September 19 to January 21
      • Examination period: January 23 to February 18
    • Spring semester: February 27 to July 31
      • Teaching period: February 27 to June 23
      • Examination period: June 25 to July 21
    • Special examination period: September 3 to September 14, 2011

    • Christmas break: December 18 to January 2
    • Easter break: April 2 to April 9
    • Students Party break (aka Queima das Fitas): May 6 to May 13
